Equality Florida Action PAC Endorses Stephanie Vazquez for Pasco County Commission

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — August 13, 2026 — Stephanie Vazquez, candidate for Pasco County Commission District 2, announced today that she has earned the endorsement of Equality Florida Action PAC, Florida’s largest political committee dedicated to electing pro-equality candidates.

The endorsement adds to a growing coalition supporting Vazquez’s campaign to bring new leadership, greater accountability, and a stronger resident voice to Pasco County government.

“I’m incredibly proud to earn the endorsement of Equality Florida Action PAC,” Vazquez said. “At its core, equality means something very simple to me: every person deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, and every resident deserves to know their government represents them. It shouldn’t matter who you are, who you love, what neighborhood you live in, or what political party you belong to. If I’m elected, my job is to serve all of Pasco County.”

Equality Florida Action PAC evaluates candidates based on their positions and records on LGBTQ equality, community support, and the competitiveness of their campaigns. The organization works statewide to identify and elect candidates committed to equality and fair representation.

For Vazquez, the endorsement reflects a broader commitment to building a Pasco County where local government focuses on improving residents’ everyday lives rather than dividing communities.

“People in Pasco are worried about traffic, flooding, housing costs, insurance, public safety, schools, and whether our infrastructure can keep up with the explosive growth happening around us,” Vazquez said. “Those challenges affect families across the political spectrum. We may not agree on everything, but we can have a county government that respects every resident while bringing people together around the issues we share.”

Vazquez has made “A Pasco for the People” the central message of her campaign, with priorities that include managing growth responsibly, strengthening infrastructure and disaster preparedness, improving transportation, supporting public schools, increasing government transparency, and ensuring residents have a meaningful voice in decisions affecting their communities.

“This campaign has always been about who gets a seat at the table,” Vazquez said. “For too long, too many decisions in Pasco have felt like they were being made for the people with the most money, the most connections, or the most political influence. I’m running to make sure everyday residents have a voice, too. That means everyone.”

Equality Florida Action PAC is the largest political committee dedicated to electing pro-equality candidates in Florida. The organization screens candidates across the state and works to mobilize more than 1.4 million identified pro-equality voters.
