“I think there’s a lot of misconceptions when it comes to Democrats that they don’t love their country, and that they aren’t patriotic, and I just couldn’t disagree more.”

Approximately 35 volunteers with the Pasco County Democratic Party gathered at Wesley Chapel District Park for a community canvassing event supporting local candidate Stephanie Vazquez. Volunteers knocked on 674 doors across Wesley Chapel, engaging residents about voter registration, Florida's Vote-by-Mail program, upcoming elections, and the importance of civic participation.

Pasco County is moving forward with a proposed one-year moratorium on large-scale data centers, giving county leaders time to study their potential effects on water, electricity, noise, the environment, and residents’ quality of life.

Stephanie Vazquez joined residents at the Pasco County Planning Commission meeting to urge the county to consider the full cost of these massive facilities before allowing them in Pasco.

“When we hear about a new development opportunity of any type, one of the questions typically asked first is, how much revenue will it generate?” Vazquez said. “But I would suggest that the more important question that we should be asking is: At what cost?”
