“I’m running as the first Democrat for District  2 in many years because our community needs leadership that puts people over profit, fights for schools, smart growth, and real accountability.”

“I began working to combat human trafficking—helping connect survivors with essential resources, collaborating with justice systems, and speaking up for those without a voice.”

This work taught me urgency, empathy, and coalition-building - the same skills I’m bringing into my campaign for Pasco County Commission District  2 to ensure our leaders truly serve every voice in our community.

“I’m not a career politician - I’m a military veteran, a mother, and someone who’s worked in local government and nonprofits,” Vazquez says. “I know what it’s like to live paycheck to paycheck, to worry about traffic, school quality, and rising housing costs. I’m running for Pasco County Commission because our community deserves leaders who understand real-life struggles and will fight for smart growth, safe roads, and a transparent government that works for everyone.”

I grew up in poverty, served our country, and built a life fighting for those who needed someone in their corner. I’m running to give Pasco a commissioner who listens, leads, and never forgets where they came from.”
