Engage Y’all Endorses Stephanie Vazquez for Pasco County Commission

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — Engage, Y’all PAC has endorsed Stephanie Vazquez for Pasco County Commission, District 2, recognizing a grassroots campaign working to compete in a district Democrats have not won in decades.

Engage, Y’all was founded on the belief that the Democratic Party should compete everywhere rather than write off communities or districts. The organization supports bold candidates, grassroots leaders and communities prepared to challenge the status quo.

“I’m incredibly proud to receive the endorsement of Engage, Y’all because their mission reflects exactly what we are building here in Pasco,” Vazquez said. “We aren’t waiting for someone else to decide this county is worth fighting for. We are knocking on doors, having real conversations and building a grassroots campaign powered by the people who live here.”

Vazquez’s campaign has focused on direct voter outreach, including door knocking, community events and volunteer-led organizing across Pasco County. The campaign is funded overwhelmingly by individual contributions, and Vazquez has not accepted campaign contributions from developers.

“This campaign belongs to the people showing up every week, knocking on doors, making calls, putting up signs and contributing what they can,” Vazquez said. “People are tired of being told that change is impossible or that some races simply aren’t worth contesting. Pasco is worth fighting for, and together, we are showing what a committed grassroots movement can build.”

Engage, Y’all’s endorsement adds to the support Vazquez has received from organizations that see an opportunity to build a broader coalition and bring new voices into local government.

Vazquez is an Air Force veteran, mother of six and longtime advocate against human trafficking. Her campaign is focused on responsible growth, infrastructure and transportation, disaster and flood preparedness, strong schools and a more accessible and accountable county government.

She is running countywide for the District 2 seat in the November 3 general election.
